Itinerary (example day)

1. Pick-up from hotel / OTP Airport (early start recommended).
2. Drive via Curtea de Argeș → Vidraru Dam viewpoint.
3. Climb the Transfăgărășan; photo stops & short walks.
4. Bâlea Lake (in season) – free time for lunch & views.
5. Option A: return the same way. Option B: continue to Sibiu Old Town and return via Olt Valley.

Is the Transfăgărășan open all year?

No. The high alpine section is open mainly June–October. Outside this window we operate a scenic alternative (winter route).

Can we visit Sibiu on the same day?

Yes. Many guests choose the loop Bucharest → Transfăgărășan → Sibiu → Olt Valley → Bucharest (adds 1–2 hours).

Are there many walking sections?

Only short optional walks near viewpoints. The trip is suitable for all ages.
